Oh the places we will GO in 1st Grade!

Mrs. Kathy Belongia:  I am excited your child will be in my class this year. I grew up in Massachusetts and went to college there. I moved to Savannah Georgia after graduation to get a teaching job. This is where I met Bob, my husband for almost 32 years. We have lived in many states including Kansas, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, and now here in Marietta, Georgia.  We have lived here for 14 years. We have 5 children and a goldendoodle named Sayde. Michael is 30 and works in Atlanta, Matthew is 28 and works in Maryland, Jonathan is 25 and is an ET Navy Nuke stationed in Hawaii , Joshua is 23 and is a senior in college and Nicole is 20 and attends UGA. I have taught 6 years in Kindergarten and this is my 13th year in First Grade. I am looking forward to a successful year and a great learning experience with your child.

Mrs. Megan Brent: A new year brings new beginnings! WELCOME TO TEAM BRENT! This is my 10th year teaching in Cobb County. I have loved all my years of teaching, but First grade is my absolute favorite!  I consider it a great privilege and responsibility to be your child’s teacher. I am looking forward to exploring and learning with each and every one of your students. ​Here is a little about me.  I am married to a wonderful man named, Bobby Brent, who is a loan officer for Silverton Mortgage, and he is a die hard basketball fan! We have a wonderful hairy baby named Nala Bear! She is a Husky Lab mix and is full of personality! We are super excited to be welcoming our first human child in late October! We can’t wait to meet her. I love Fall time, pumpkin spice smells, to eat good food, scuba dive, dance, and read!

 

Mrs. Melissa Pierce: I am looking forward to another fun year in first grade!  This is my 15th year in Cobb County, all of which has been at Davis.  I have taught first grade and second grade, most of which has been in first grade.  I have been married for 4 years to my husband, Clint. We have a 3 year old daughter, Hensley, and a 4 month old, Blakely!  :) I grew up in the area and even went to Davis myself. I went to The University of Tennessee and Auburn University for my undergrad and Lesley University for my masters.  I love teaching and the excitement each new year brings!

Mrs. Lara Quigg: Welcome to first grade! I am Mrs. Quigg and will be starting my 12th full year of teaching. I love teaching first grade and am so excited to begin a new year with my fun crew! I have been married for 15 years to my husband Chris. We have two sons and a daughter: Asher (9), and Roane (7), and Quinn (2 1/2). Each passing year has brought more fun and excitement, and I can’t wait to see what challenges await us this year! I'm excited for a great year!!

Mrs. Kristen Stegall: Welcome to the 2018/19 school year!  I am Mrs. Stegall and am so excited to be teaching first grade this year.  Here is a little about me. This is my 8th year teaching at Davis. I have taught both kindergarten and most recently second grade.   I have been married to my husband Chris for 5 years and we have 2 daughters, Charlotte (3) and Reagan (8 months). I love Georgia football, the beach, reading, working out and yummy food.  I can’t wait to see what adventures await our classroom this school year!
