Learning this week:
Math: How do I tell time to the hour and half hour using analog and digital clocks? How many minutes in an hour? What are the big numbers on the clock and the small dashes on the clock? What does the small hand do and the big hand do?; Keep working on fluency of math facts.
Reading: What is nonfiction reading? What are text features that are found in nonfiction reading? What does nonfiction reading do for the reader?
Phonics: Blends-Discuss with the students what a blend is- 2 consonants put together but you are still able to hear each individually sound. (Examples: dr, br, fl, sm, sw, cli, etc.)
Red Words: small, best, first, slow, blue
Writing: Information writing genre is this 9 week. How do I teach about something I know?
